Terms of Use

1. About Vacancy Mirror
Vacancy Mirror is an independent freelance mentor and career strategist designed to help freelancers make better career decisions on Upwork and other freelance platforms. The service's guidance is distilled from the open Upwork freelancer community, Upwork's own public material, and broader public discussion of the freelance market. The service is delivered through a Telegram bot.
Vacancy Mirror is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Upwork Inc., Telegram, Google, or any other third-party platform. All trademarks, logos, and platform names remain the property of their respective owners.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Vacancy Mirror. By using the service or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Service Description
Vacancy Mirror is a strictly read-only analytical service. The service does not:
- ▸ Submit proposals or apply to jobs
- ▸ Contact clients or send messages
- ▸ Log into third-party platforms on your behalf
- ▸ Automate account activity
- ▸ Take any action using your account on any third-party freelance platform
All mentor recommendations, weekly community digests, profile and portfolio reviews, career-direction suggestions, and other outputs are AI-generated and provided for informational purposes only. AI-generated insights may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or based on limited data. You should independently verify important decisions before relying on the service. The service is not professional career advice.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
Vacancy Mirror offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in US Dollars (USD) and automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.
If a payment fails, your subscription may be paused or downgraded to the free plan until the payment issue is resolved. We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscriptions with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions keep their current price for the duration of the active billing cycle.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
14-day money-back guarantee.
If you cancel your first paid subscription within 14 days of the initial payment, we will refund your payment in full — no questions asked. Email support@vacancy-mirror.com with your Telegram username.
After the 14-day window, subscriptions remain active until the end of the current billing period and renew automatically unless cancelled. Renewal charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Upon cancellation:
- ▸ Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period
- ▸ Your account automatically reverts to the free plan after that period ends
- ▸ No further charges are made after cancellation
EU/EEA/UK consumers retain all statutory consumer rights under applicable law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal where it applies.
6. Intellectual Property
All job listings, platform names, trademarks, and third-party content remain the property of their respective owners. Vacancy Mirror only provides independent analysis and does not claim ownership of any third-party content.
The Vacancy Mirror name, branding, AI prompts, source code, and generated reports (excluding third-party content they describe) belong to the operator of Vacancy Mirror. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the service for your own freelancing activity.
7. User-Submitted Content
When you paste text into the chat — for example a job description, your profile, a portfolio item, or any message — you confirm that:
- ▸ You have the right to share that content with us, including any rights granted to you by the third-party platform where it originated
- ▸ Sharing the content with our service does not violate the terms of service of any third-party freelance platform you are bound by
- ▸ You take responsibility for how you act on the assistant's output, including whether you apply, edit, or share suggestions on third-party platforms
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process the content you submit solely to deliver the service to you (for example, to generate an AI analysis or recommendation). We do not claim ownership of your submissions, and we do not use them to train public AI models.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Vacancy Mirror against any third-party claim arising from content you submit, including claims based on intellectual-property infringement or breach of a third-party platform's terms.
8. Trademark Notice & Nominative Use
Upwork® is a registered trademark of Upwork Inc. Other platform names, logos, and trademarks referenced on this website or inside the bot remain the property of their respective owners.
Vacancy Mirror references these names solely for nominative descriptive purposes — to identify the platforms and contexts the service helps freelancers navigate. Such references do not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or business relationship with the trademark owners.
If you are a trademark owner who believes a reference on this site is misleading or used outside the bounds of nominative fair use, please contact support@vacancy-mirror.com and we will respond promptly.
9. Intellectual-Property & Takedown Complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to well-formed complaints. If you believe content surfaced by Vacancy Mirror infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, send a notice to support@vacancy-mirror.com including:
- ▸ Your full name, contact details, and (for organisations) the role of the person filing the notice
- ▸ Identification of the right you claim and the basis for that claim
- ▸ A specific description of the allegedly infringing content and where on the service it appears
- ▸ A good-faith statement that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or applicable law
- ▸ A statement, under penalty of perjury (or equivalent in your jurisdiction), that the information in the notice is accurate
- ▸ Your physical or electronic signature
We will acknowledge receipt within a reasonable time, investigate the claim, and remove or restrict access to the content where warranted. Repeat infringers may be banned from the service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time. Market data, AI insights, and analytics may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We do not guarantee hiring success or any particular outcome from using the service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vacancy Mirror and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Vacancy Mirror in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime level. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.
13. Prohibited Use
You may not use Vacancy Mirror to:
- ▸ Break the law or violate third-party platform rules
- ▸ Spam, harass, or abuse others
- ▸ Automate proposals, bidding, or messaging on third-party platforms
- ▸ Reverse engineer or abuse the service
- ▸ Resell or copy the service without permission
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Vacancy Mirror at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in prohibited use. Upon termination for cause, no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.
You may terminate your use of the service at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing to use the bot.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE]. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the competent courts of [COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE], unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Before filing any formal complaint, we encourage you to contact us at support@vacancy-mirror.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page and inside the bot. Material changes will be communicated via the bot or email at least 14 days before taking effect. By continuing to use Vacancy Mirror after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
